Ali Osserein
Ali understands choices. Particularly, how people make them. A behavioural scientist and economist with a decade of experience, he’s passionate about investigating people’s behaviour and decision-making in contexts of scarcity.
After completing a PhD in Behavioral Science at Warwick Business School, Ali helped establish the first non-governmental “nudge” unit in the Arab region. A former VP at Nudge Lebanon, Ali helped many institutions apply behavioural insights to their policy challenges, including UNICEF, UNDP, ESCWA, Save the Children, USAID and the Westminster Foundation for Democracy. At Nudge, he helped promote a culture of experimentation and evidence-based policymaking in the Arab region – training and upskilling several public and private organisations in behavioural science, nudging and impact evaluation.
In his spare time, Ali loves to hike, scuba dive, cook and take care of his garden.
